A wise friend once told me “all roads lead to Rosetown.” She’s right. As with most of Saskatchewan, it doesn’t take much conversation before you find a link to your family, your past… or to Rosetown. Try it, it’s a fun game.
My road to Rosetown involves this beautiful family. I drove through thunder and lightning and pouring rain, but the clouds in Rosetown held up for us and kept us dry. We started the session at their house, and then moved to the side yard of a heavy equipment company (glamorous, no??) that I had driven past earlier in the season. It was perfect! (Except for that fallen tree that I tripped over and went sprawling to the ground… yep, a shining moment in my photography career for sure.) The kids were all over the place and their parents were just so calm! They smiled and laughed and coaxed the little turkeys back into the frame time and time again. It was great fun and I just adore the photos. So much personality!!
