There is a house in Saskatoon that is home to a very special group of furry kids.

When you arrive, you’re greeted by Sierra, the fluffy blond.  She’s so excited to see you that she’s brought you a stuffy to look at!!  Not to touch or take from her, mind you.  Just to look at.

While patting her, you notice Rumor, the small fluffy old timer shuffling around your feet.  She’s deaf and has had her teeth pulled, and can’t decide if she wants to lay on the couch (where she gets too hot) or on her bed (where she’s impossibly far from the action.) She decides that it’s too tough a decision to make and sits on the floor in the middle of the room instead, hoping for some attention.

Then Bravo bounds into the room and inappropriately invades your personal space.  He’s like a gangly teenager on stilts as he jumps from couch to floor and back to couch. He’s all energy, this one, and would do almost anything for a cookie.  Except sit still while guests are near.  Never that!

Once the embarrassment that the teenager has created passes, you notice that you’re seeing double.  The old-timer has a small fluffy partner named Echo. She is the “gold star” child:  She behaves.  She sits.  She’s quiet.  She is so good in fact, that she gets to go to work with mom! The only time that her “gold star” status is questioned, is when a mysterious but lethal smell permeates the room… and clears the people from it!

If you’re lucky enough to be invited to this house, do yourself a favor and go prepared.  Don’t wear a skirt.  Take cookies (and wine) and a sense of humor!
