I met a fantastic family a couple of weeks ago and was lucky enough to photograph little Mason’s 1st Birthday “Cake Smash” in their living room. Robin washed the floor (good Dad!) and Amanda stripped Mason (smart Mom!!) we plopped Mason on the floor and we waited. He started out slow, probably wondering if he was going to get in trouble for this, but soon got into the swing of things and demolished his little cupcake. The dog was obviously pleased with the way things went as she was called in for cleanup detail afterwards!
After a quick wash and a wardrobe change, we were able to finish the session and get some sweet family photos too. As with most kids, he’s got a thing for Dad’s phone. Once we discovered that, he was putty in our hands… well, sort of. (Mostly we just followed him around and did what he wanted to do!) After a quick trip to the back deck and some fun with his puzzle mat, we were all done!
